Passikudah beach
With beaches that rival Maldives, Pasikudha offers a more vibrant, affordable alternative to the traveler who seeks dreamy shores, coasts are bordering coral reefs and resort towns like experience. The ocean has its mossy color, which grabs its name Paasi- kudah, means moss and bay in Tamil language.
On a good day, you can venture out to the ocean and enjoy the coral reefs through many excursions available locally, or if you want to tickle your adventure fancy take a kayak and paddle your way through the shallow waters of the bay of Pasikudah. The relaxing experience is easily accessible via seaplane or a drive through the country's heart from the international airport. There are world-class 5-star resorts scattered around this resort town and cheaper, more accessible locations to fit ALL budgets. Make sure you stay at least a day or two to make sure you are able to absorb what the atmosphere has to offer fully.
Once you're there, make sure you take long walks along the beach during sunset and enjoy local cuisine while you're at it. If you're more of a morning person, you might witness the morning catch being brought to shore by the local fisherman and the beautiful sunrise of the eastern coast. The local crab curry is a hit, and you might come across a few locals who are nice enough to teach you the trade tips. You will find youngsters making use of the cold wind to fly kites.
Pasikudah is a mixed bag of adventure, Bliss, and serenity, and the only complaints people have are that they couldn't stay longer !!
