Crocodile rock
Even though it's named crocodile rock, no crocodiles are seen here nowadays. But the view of the ocean is great from this spot. Crocodile Rock is located a few kilometers south of Arugam Point along another deserted beach to Kudakalliya. We can reach the rock by crossing the dunes and fording the lagoon. It's wild: eagles dive above their heads, elephants try to climb the rock. Be careful, the large fangs of aggressors crawl discreetly. Make sure to stay alert when visiting lesser known places like this. After reaching the top, we will be rewarded for our efforts with a magnificent view of the land through the paddy fields and the lagoon. The fresh breeze that touches the face when you stand on top of the rock, washes away all the urban stress and tiresome. This beach looks quite clean and clear hence we have very few people visiting these places since there are less facilities for tourists and this can be called a fresh nature tract.
